Back then, Carroll called for a pass after the last-moment interception instead of a hand-off.

Pete Carroll and Wendy dated together for three years. After some time, Pete tied his knots with Wendy Pearl on June 2, 1973.

However, the relationship did not last because they were young and in their early twenties. Pete and Wendy divorced after two years of marriage.
