Pastor John Gray of Greenville’s Relentless Church is in critical condition in the hospital and needs everyone’s prayers. Aventer Gray, John’s longtime wife, took to Instagram on Sunday, July 10, 2022, to share the heartbreaking news of her husband’s condition.

She shared a photo of herself holding her husband’s hands as he lay in the hospital bed.

She began her lengthy caption by thanking her supporters and followers and writing that she and her family are in desperate need of a miracle.

She then requested that everyone remember her husband in their prayers.

Aventer elaborated on the situation, writing that her husband John had been feeling ill for the past few weeks.

When he arrived at the emergency room on Thursday, July 7, he was immediately admitted to the critical care unit.

Doctors discovered that the pastor suffered from a Saddle Pulmonary Embolism in his pulmonary artery as well as blood clots in his lungs.

“The Saddle PE is in a position that, if it shifts at all, could potentially end his life,” Aventer explained the dire situation.

A “Saddle Pulmonary Embolism (SPE) is a rare type of acute pulmonary embolism (PE) that can cause sudden hemodynamic collapse and death,” according to the National Library of Medicine.

SPE also suggests the possibility of hemodynamic instability.”

“The clot burden is severe, and only God is holding it in place,” Aventer continued.

He is currently in CCU, and based on CT and Echo, we will need two types of surgery within the next 24 hours due to the pressure on the heart.”

She went on to say that doctors have seen similar cases before and that “people have come into the hospital dead with the exact scenario he [John] walked in with.”

“The Doctor said God has to keep him through the night, and he can not move, not even get up to walk to a bathroom.

OKAY! COOL! Thank you, ma’am! God is not finished! I don’t care what the CT, ECHO, All, or any other tests reveal! It’s clear that God isn’t done yet.

Clots must submit to my God! That’s it!”

Aventer addressed her supporters once more, asking those who believe in Jesus Christ’s miraculous healing power to join her, her family, and their church as “we cry out on behalf of John W. Gray III.” “I’m constantly rocking with God!” she exclaimed.

Finally, she thanked the members of Relentless Greenville, Relentless Atlanta, and Lakewood Church for showing up physically or virtually as soon as they learned of Pastor John’s condition. “We adore you all!” she exclaimed.
