Kanye West’s anti-Semitic Twitter post
Beginning in early October, West went on a public appearance and interview binge in which he made antisemitic remarks, advanced conspiracy theories, and criticized Black Lives Matter.
As a result, he was blocked from social media platforms, earning him widespread criticism and disapproval from industry peers.
On October 9, West tweeted that he would go “death con 3 on Jewish people,” an apparent misspelling of “DEFCON.”
In the same post, he claimed that he cannot be antisemitic because “black people are actually Jews as well.”
Twitter removed the tweet hours after it was posted because it violated the platform’s policies.
Twitter told Forbes that West’s account was locked due to “a violation of Twitter’s policies.”
The rapper was also barred from using Instagram after posting a screenshot of a conversation with rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs in which West accused Combs of being controlled by Jews, invoking a well-known antisemitic cliche.
In light of West’s erratic behavior, Adidas announced that it has “under-reviewed” its relationship with him.
According to Forbes, West’s contract with Adidas is worth $1.5 billion in total and $220 million per year.
Previously, the rapper ended a collaboration with Gap.
An examination of Taylor Swift’s feud with Kanye West
It goes without saying that Swift and Kanye West’s relationship is, at best, rocky.
At the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, the rapper interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech for Video of the Year, for which he later apologized, and the pair’s strained relationship made headlines at the time.
“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!” West said.
On The Ellen Show the next day, the ‘Wash in the Blood’ singer claimed that the outburst was caused by a combination of “sincerity and booze,” and that he wanted to apologize to her in person.
Swift revealed on September 15, 2009, that the hip-hop star had called a few days later to apologize.
When the artist called, she told ABC Radio that his apologies were sincere and that she had accepted them.
A year after the incident, the Midnights artist performed ‘Innocent,’ which was rumored to be about West, at the 2010 MTV VMAs.
“It’s all right / Just wait and see / Your string of lights is still bright to me / Who you are is not where you’ve been / You’re still an innocent,” the lyrics said.

On June 16, 2013, the rapper apologized to Swift again.
To the New York Times at the time, he stated that he had no regrets.
“If anyone is reading this expecting a full-on, flat apology for anything, they should stop reading right now,” he added.
West debuted ‘Famous’ at his Yeezy Show on February 9, 2016.
It included a dig at Swift. She slammed him, however, by delivering a powerful acceptance speech at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
Swift stated that as the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice, she wanted to convey to all young women that there will be those who seek to undermine their success along the way.
