The news of the film was initially reported in the Hollywood Reporter on February 24, 2021, when it was revealed that Samuel Goldwyn Films had teamed with Vortex Media and had purchased all rights to Craig Pryce’s film “The Marijuana Conspiracy.”
According to the news source, the two production companies have decided to debut the film on April 20, 2021, and Vortex Media will release it later in Canada.
Following the announcement of the film, one of its lead actresses, Kohan, revealed some images from the set on February 25, 2021.
The films were largely set in the 1970s, and she was accompanied by her other cast members.
Going into further detail about “The Marijuana Conspiracy,” it is known that the indie drama film will take place in the 1970s, during a time when even minor marijuana possession could result in seven years in prison.
Similarly, Broadway World said that the film will follow the lives of five young ladies who share the similar objective of making money and starting over.
Aside from that, the video includes a real-life cannabis study set in 1972 Canada.
“The Marijuana Conspiracy delves into these women’s lives and delivers a story that has to be told.

During that study, 20 young women participate in a lengthy and contentious experiment that lasts over 98 days.

While discussing “The Marijuana Conspiracy,” Peter Goldwyn, president of Samuel Goldwyn Films, stated that he and his crew are very proud to provide a narrative that digs into the lives of those ladies.
He further stated that the narrative should be shared with everyone.
Furthermore, Justin Rebelo, the CEO of Vortex Media, issued a statement in which he stated that he and his team are thrilled to be connected with Samuel Goldwyn Films and to release the true-life narrative.
In addition, he lauded the film’s director, Craig Pryce, saying that he had created an incredible film that highlighted some of the significant challenges of the time that can still be observed today.
