On March 12, 2021, Kohan released the official trailer for The Marijuana Conspiracy via her Instagram account.
Along with the video, she stated in the description, “The Marijuana Conspiracy’s beautiful, glittery, brand new trailer is out now,” and the whole film will be released on April 20, 2021.
The trailer’s debut comes just 16 days after the Canadian actress revealed the official release date and some exclusive photos from the set of The Marijuana Conspiracy.

On February 24, 2021, the Hollywood Reporter reported that Samuel Goldwyn Films had collaborated with Vortex Media to buy full rights to Craig Pryce’s film The Marijuana Conspiracy—an announcement that was validated when Kohan formally published the news the same day.
