Early Years and Family
Miyuu Yamamoto was born in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan, on July 4, 1974.

Professional Wrestling
Yamamoto had a distinguished wrestling career before entering MMA. Throughout her wrestling career, she won three world championships and became the youngest.
Yamamoto had numerous gaps throughout her career, perhaps as a result of marriage and childbirth.
World Championship of Wrestling
Yamamoto competed in and won her first world championship at the age of 17. Yamamoto competed in the 47 kg weight class for her first championship, where she bested Pan Yanping from China.
The youngest World Wrestling Champion is Yamamoto.
Yamamoto later won the titles for the 50 kg and 47 kg weight classes in 1994 and 1995, respectively.
Yamamoto retired for the first time in 1995. but made a brief comeback in 1999 and took part in the Queen’s Cup. In the same year, she also captured the Asian Championship and the All Japan Women Championship.
No Participation in the Olympics
Yamamoto, who had retired in 2000, reentered the workforce in 2004. During the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, women’s wrestling made its debut as a recognized Olympic sport.
Yamamoto, however, took third place in the Japan Queens Cup selection competition. She was so unable to take part in the Olympics.
Yamamoto made a second comeback to wrestling in 2011. She was planning on competing in the 2012 London Olympics.
In a similar vein, Yamamoto triumphed at the October All Japan Women Open Championship. She did, however, lose in the second round of the selection event.
Yamamoto intended to participate in the 2016 Olympics in Rio after becoming a Canadian citizen in December 2015.
Yamamoto was a Canadian citizen, however, she was not permitted to compete in the Olympic trials. She, therefore, made the decision to give up wrestling after 2016 and fight in MMA.
In the Sports Biz team, Sports Caster Yamamoto also worked as a sportscaster. She took a vacation from wrestling and worked as a sportscaster.
Yamamoto was also a key figure in the Kids Wrestling tournament that the Japan Sports Network ran.
Coaching
Miyuu was hired as a member of the York University wrestling coaching staff in 2012. She was the team’s assistant coach.

Winning Streak
Yamamoto started her longest winning streak in RIZIN with four victories following her defeat by Irene. On July 28, 2018, Yamamoto first defeated Saori Ishioka in a split decision.
Yamamoto lost her second fight against Andy Nguyen, but she later overcame him on September 30th, 2018. She received a unanimous decision victory.
Yamamoto then defeated Mika Nagano by unanimous decision on December 31st, 2018.
Later in her subsequent battle, she won by unanimous decision over top-ranked atom weight Kanna Asakura, giving her one of the biggest victories of her career.
Yamamoto kept her first championship bout opportunity thanks to a remarkable four-win streak. She was only one victory away.
Unfortunately, she lost her next battle to veteran Korean boxer Seo Hee Ham via TKO (punches).
Yamamoto defeated Suwanam Boonsorn on December 31 in a unanimous decision. It is still her only victory in RIZIN FF.
Title Battle
Yamamoto received his shot at the vacant RIZIN FF super-atom weight title on December 31, 2020. The biggest fight Yamamoto has ever had in her career was about to begin.
She was also going to compete against Ayaka Hamasaki, a past titleholder. Sadly, Yamamoto was submitted in the opening round.
Yamamoto’s loss to Hamasaki in RIZIN FF was her final appearance before the Covid 19 pandemic hit the entire planet.
Yamamoto didn’t rest during this pandemic; instead, she focused on honing her MMA techniques. Yamamoto now has a 6-5 MMA record overall since her 2016 debut.
Miyuu feels that being an MMA fighter has given her the opportunity to practice with her family. In particular, she thinks it’s a family gathering.
Personal Life: Husband/Marriage
Miyuu Yamamoto wed Kyle Aguon in 2020. He competes in RIZIN as an MMA fighter as well.
With 13 wins and 9 losses, Kyle has a winning record. Her fourth spouse is Kyle. In Guam, he also runs two coffee shops.
In Japan, Miyuu also hopes to start her own coffee business. She plans to tour the world and sample various coffees after retiring.
Ex-Husband
All of Miyuu’s prior husbands were athletes, just like Kyle. Yamamoto wed Nobuyasu Ikeda for the first time in 1995. He was a professional footballer from Japan who competed in the J league.
She gave birth to Arson Yamamoto, their first child, on September 8th, 1996. In 1999, they got divorced.
She wed Japanese/American professional MMA fighter Enson Inoue in July 2000. But they separated in 2004.
Yamamoto married Akira Sasaki later in April 2006. He competed in the winter Olympics for Japan as a professional alpinist.
Yamamoto gave birth to her second son in December of the same year. Yamamoto later gave birth to her only daughter, Mia, in November 2008. Similarly, they divorced in 2008.
Children
Three kids are raised by Miyuu. The mother’s daughter Mia and the eldest son are both called Arson.
She hasn’t yet revealed her youngest son’s name or any other details about her children’s expectations about arson. She said that her children also reside with her in Japan in an interview with RIZIN FF.
Arson won numerous junior competitions before going pro. In MMA, he goes by the name Badman.
Along with her mother and stepfather, Arson currently fights in RIZIN FF. The record for arson is three victories and five defeats.
