Chris Olsen went on to say that Trainor and he would continue to pretend to be childhood friends because they thought it would be amusing.

Trainor and her brother Ryan Trainor’s podcast Workin’ On It discussed their shared childhood experiences, and he said, “What if we told people we grew up together? That would be so much fun and flirtation.”
“Do people know that?” Behar, an ET interviewer, asked. “I think people figured it out because I don’t think the photos are photoshopped that well,” Olsen said.

The singer wrote, “When people don’t know we’ve been friends since childhood,” and then showed a photo of them from their childhood together, which was obviously photoshopped, but no one knew at the time.
Fans, however, were skeptical that the photos were staged and assumed they were not childhood friends due to the four-year age difference.
“Wait, is this real?” one follower asked, while another said, “The fact that y’all look exactly the same as the picture blows my mind.”
