Mike and his colleagues traveled to chase down a tornado in Oklahoma in June 2013.

They were literally 20 to 25 feet above the ground.
Mike stated that at that point, he realized he was on his way to the sky.
“I suppose that’s the moment things truly slowed down for me and the only thing I remember is her face, like a flash,” he said of missing his wife at the time.
