The house, which was built in the 1960s, was remodeled several times over the next few decades.

MacCallum’s family, in particular, has spent their Thanksgiving holiday there.
Moreover, MacCallum has fond childhood memories of Chatham, which prompted her to purchase a home there.
MacCallum told The Cape Cod Times that her parents used to rent out summer houses in West Dennis
and Chatham for a couple of weeks. She used to enjoy going to the Cape and visiting Candy Manor.
She worked at Thompson’s Clam Bar during her college years,
