Colby Covington Famously Mentioned Maritza Masvidal as Jorge Masvidal’s Wife?
Jorge Masvidal, one of the most popular UFC fighters, has kept his personal life very quiet.
His best buddy turned bitter opponent, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington, was not as considerate of Masvidal’s privacy when he accused ‘Gamebird’ of cheating on his wife.
Covington claimed Jorge Masvidal is still married to Maritza Masvidal and that she is the mother of Masvidal’s children.
Why did Colby Covington post a photo of himself with Jorge Masvidal’s purported ex-wife Maritza Masvidal?
Masvidal was said to as Colby Covington’s best friend on many occasions.
Their bond fell apart after Covington won the interim UFC welterweight title.
According to Masvidal, it was because ‘Chaos’ did not pay his coach the agreed-upon fee after winning the interim championship.
Covington, on the other hand, denied it, claiming Masvidal was jealous of his success and it was the source of the conflict.
Because of their feud, ‘Chaos’ went after Masvidal, a PPV star, in the hopes of setting up a future bout with him.
To get under Masvidal’s skin, Covington personally assaulted ‘Gamebird’ and verbally abused his wife and children.
In order to provoke Masvidal, Covington released a photo of himself with Maritza Masvidal, whom he claims to be Masvidal’s wife.
Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal had an argument
Former ATT colleagues trained with each other cornered each other and hung out with each other outside of the gym.
When their friendship soured, the two savaged each other whenever they could.
Things were no different at the UFC 272 press conference, where the two exchanged harsh words.
Covington continued to poke Masvidal for reportedly having to pay half of his salary to Maritza Masvidal.
Meanwhile, the BMF champion went after Covington for not receiving PPV points for their UFC 272 fight.

What happened to Maritza Masvidal?
Jorge Masvidal, according to Colby Covington, does not want anyone to know about Maritza Masvidal.
Covington claimed in an interview with Brett Okamoto that he lived on Maritza Masvidal’s couch, not Jorge Masvidal’s, as the latter alleged.
“I’m talking about his ex-wife, the mother of his children, Maritza, Maritza Collado; Maritza Masvidal, they’re still legally married,” Covington explained.
At this moment, little is known about Maritza Masvidal, other than Covington’s claim that she is Jorge Masvidal’s legal wife.
