“Maluma gives a service to his gay male followers at the MTV EMAs,” wrote the news outlet Tom and Lorenzo on November 15, 2021. As a result, people began to wonder about Maluma’s sexual orientation.

Is Maluma a gay man?
One of the earliest accusations of Maluma’s homosexuality surfaced in late 2016
when the singer joined with Puerto Rican musician Ricky Martin on their party track named Vente Pa’Ca.
Following the release of the song, rumors spread that the two fellow performers were romantically involved.
The conversations were so loud that Maluma could hear them.
To put those allegations to rest, the singer addressed them during an
interview with the Miami radio station “El Vacilon de la Gatita” in December 2016.
Maluma quickly disputed the reports that he was gay and dating Martin.
“I am not gay; I am not in a relationship with Ricky Martin,” he stated.
He then went on to say that he adores ladies. “I adore women,” he said.
Continuing his remark, he emphasized that while he has tremendous respect for the LGBT community,
people should focus on and enjoy his music rather than who he is romantically associated with.

In response, he simply laughed off the rumors, as he was seeing his current wife,
a Swedish artist named Jwan Yosef, at the time.
After Maluma and Martin discussed it, it became evident that they were

During the session, one fan inquired about the singer’s sexual orientation.
The Colombian native took the stage to set the record straight once and for all.
“People are foolish, aren’t they?” he began. Yes, how can they claim I’m gay?”
He then stated that if he was gay, he would have already discussed it and come out.
Following that, the singer defended himself by joking, “The one who said I am homosexual, lend me your girlfriend to see how gay I am.”
