Mads Lewis and Nessa Barrett are making headlines again, but not because of their feud. In fact, it appears that they are now on good terms. And this is because Lewis has begun to follow Barrett on Instagram.
The tea page, The Original Tiktokroom, broke the news of Lewis following Barrett on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, writing, “Oop okay #madslewis now follows Nessa on Instagram!”
And fans were ecstatic that the former friends might be reuniting, despite their bad blood in the past. “I hope they bring back the friendship,” one person said. “I adore Mads.”
Some Instagram users, on the other hand, did not enjoy the tea. “You shouldn’t mind if she wants to rekindle her friendship with Nessa,” one user wrote.
However, there were more positive than negative comments.
And those fans may be relieved to learn that this isn’t Lewis’ first approach to her former friend.
When late TikTok star Cooper Noriega died on June 9, 2022, the entire TikTok community was in mourning.
And because Nessa was one of Noriega’s closest friends, she found it difficult to cope with his death.
When Barrett was finally able to share tributes to her fallen angel, Lewis liked her post.
Furthermore, Lewis liked Barrett’s post in which she stated that her first song, ‘Die First,’ from her upcoming album, was a direct tribute to Noriega.
This suggested that Lewis had been in private contact with Barrett.
Furthermore, on Noriega’s 20th birthday, June 28, 2022, Barrett shared a few photos with her late best friend and wrote a short but sweet caption.
And, as with previous occasions, Lewis liked the post.
TikTok Insiders, the tea page, shared a screenshot of a message they had received, most likely from a fan or a source close to Lewis or Barrett, at the time.
“Totally not tea, especially given the occasion, but I found it so comforting that Mads liked Nessa’s post about Cooper’s bday,” the message read.
In the end, I believe he would have preferred that everyone move on from the past and live in peace with one another….”
“…because we never know when we will lose someone, regardless of any differences they may have had in the past.”
“Leaving middle school drama behind and focusing on what’s important is what matters,” one commenter added.
As of this writing, no details have been shared about what is going on between Lewis and Barrett in private.
They haven’t been seen together, and Barrett hasn’t followed Lewis back.
Lewis and Barrett’s feud began when Lewis was dating her now ex-boyfriend, Jaden Hossler.
Lewis and Barrett were good friends at the time, and there was no bad blood between them.
But everything changed after Barrett and Hossler collaborated on their song ‘La Di Die.’
Lewis unfollowed Hossler months later, and it was later revealed that the couple had split up and Hossler was dating Barrett — confirmation came in April 2021.
When Lewis discovered her ex-boyfriend and best friend were dating, she posted a video of herself, Hossler, and Barrett with Taylor Swift’s ‘Better Than Revenge’ playing in the background. Barrett, according to the post, took Hossler “faster than you can say sabotage.”
“I was never jealous of a song, nor was I jealous of her [Nessa],” Lewis later said.
I know Ness better than anyone else, and she understands why I posted this video, and that’s all that matters.”
Her performance appeared immature, but she implied that she only did it because Barrett did not respond.

“Perhaps this will catch her eye,” Lewis added in her since-deleted Instagram post. Barrett, despite the post and statement, did not respond.
Barrett eventually responded via a series of tweets. And, as many predicted, their online battle raged on for weeks.
Josh Richards, Barrett’s on-again, off-again boyfriend of several years, became involved in the drama as well.
The drama lasted until January 2022, when Lewis appeared on the reality show Famous, Like Me and claimed Barrett made friends with celebrities for the sake of fame.
Barrett’s fans mocked Lewis’s remarks, and Tana Mongeau even defended Barrett.
While Barrett appeared to respond to those statements in a TikTok video, it’s unclear whether it was in response to Lewis.
Following that, the drama between the former friends subsided, and it appears that things have completely changed given the recent turn of events.
