Lynda Carter has expressed her continued support for the LGBTQ+ community. On July 6, 2022, the American actress, best known for her role as Wonder Woman in the 1970s, took to Twitter to defend transgender women.
She sent out a short but moving tweet that was praised by many celebrities and non-celebrities alike.
“I cannot think of anything that helps women’s rights less than blaming trans women,” Carter wrote at the outset.
She then stated that transgender women have been subjected to a great deal of violence and scrutiny and that people should leave them alone and shift their attention to the true war being waged against women.
Her tweet concluded, “It’s happening in courts and legislatures across this country.”
