  • He was born on July 31, 1995, in North Philadelphia’s Francisville neighborhood.
  • Vert made the rounds earlier this month for changing their pronouns from he/him to They/Them. On Instagram, they changed the pronouns.
  • Vert and JT, who have been dating for a while, have an on-again, off-again relationship.

Lil Uzi Vert’s new album Red & White includes the song “Glock in My Purse,” which he released recently. And in the new song, the 26-year-old shared an intriguing memory about their father.

They revealed that their father mistook them for gay when they were children.

The song’s lyrics are as follows:

…And when I was younger (yeah), he thought I was a (what?) ‘Cause I wore skinny jeans (jeans) and plaid shirts (plaid) But look how I turned out, I know they’re sad (I know they’re sad) I know someone’s mad (I know someone’s mad) But I hope my dad, yeah, he’s glad (I hope so)…

According to the song, Vert’s father questioned their sexuality because they wore skinny jeans and plaid shirts.

They went on to say that their father must be pleased because they turned out to be straight rather than gay.

Vert also claimed in the same song that they were now “way richer than my dad.”

Symere Bysil Woods, the rapper’s real name, was born on July 31, 1995, in North Philadelphia’s Francisville neighborhood. However, little is known about their parents.

Having said that, they reportedly grew up listening to Mike Jones and the Ying Yang Twins, as well as Wiz Khalifa and Meek Mill.

Vert made the rounds earlier this month for changing their pronouns from he/him to They/Them. On Instagram, they changed the pronouns.

This apparently caused some backlash for the rapper, as some fans claimed he did it to draw attention to his new album.

“I can’t believe lil uzi vert switched to they/them pronouns. “I admire him so much for that; he is a goat for it,” someone tweeted.

“Funny how everyone made such a big deal about Lil Uzi Vert changing their pronouns and now is back to using he/him immediately,” said another.

However, some of their fans, including their girlfriend, JT from the rap group City Girls, appear to have accepted their pronouns.

She even corrected herself on Twitter after incorrectly referring to the rapper as “he” rather than “them.”

Vert and JT, who have been dating for a while, have an on-again, off-again relationship.

For example, in April 2022, the couple announced their breakup, only to reconcile the following month.

JT even posted a picture of them together and a video of her moving to kiss him on the cheek after they reconciled.

“You know I love you like no one else can,” she wrote in her post.
