“It’s the thing I love most, spending time with my child.

It’s exhausting being a parent, but it’s the greatest joy there is.

It gave me purpose,” she stated. “It would have been a tragedy if I hadn’t had kids.

It’s something I wanted even when I was a kid.”

Over the years, Seydoux has also talked about her relationship with her kid

and expressed her conception of motherhood in her various interviews.

Speaking with Madame Figaro last year, the Midnight in Paris actress explained

how she used to picture herself as a mother in her childhood.

She subsequently talked about her son and remarked how he was better than she imagined.

“Our empathy is such that I know his desires, his dreams, and his concerns.

I never spoke to him like a baby, and he spoke like a tiny six-year-old person.

But I leave him his place as a youngster, his carelessness,” she added.

In the interview, she later claimed that she doesn’t regard herself as a great mother

and that it was sometimes hard to be a mother.

She stated, “I don’t regard myself as a great mom: sometimes it’s hard to be a mother. I grant myself the right to be imperfect. A woman.”

In another interview, Seydoux emphasized how she wants to provide her child

with a different education than she has known and her endeavor to

be more present with her son than her parents were with her.

The actress explained, “It’s true. I adore being a mommy, I love conversing with him.

I am delighted that he goes to school, maybe because I had a horrible experience,

and I remarked that ‘One can perceive that otherwise, like something amusing. With curiosity, rather than obligation.”

In the previous interview with Evening Standard, Seydoux had also said that she wanted a happy child

as she wasn’t one in her upbringing. She revealed her son was a happy youngster and that made her a happy adult.

“Because I was not happy as a youngster, I wanted to have a joyful child.

And George is a happy child. So I’m a happy adult,” the Mission: Impossible star stated.

All of those words by Seydoux show that she is living some of the happiest days of her life as a mother,

watching her son grow up. However, there came a point where she felt apprehensive

and “terrified to meet the person [she] knew [she] would love [her] more than anything in the world.”

For the August 2020 columns of Psychologies Magazine,

Seydoux provided an exclusive interview where she talked about the feelings she had during her labor and some problems of parenthood.

In the beginning, she said that she was not terrified of childbirth,

but of the love that she was going to feel following. Continuing her statement,

she continued, “I was petrified at the prospect of meeting the guy whom I knew

I would love more than anything in the world. The love I have for my son exceeds everything I have ever known.”

Afterward, she claimed that she found being a parent exhausting,

tough, and very demanding, and on certain days she could not take it anymore.

“I have always been determined to teach my son to become independent and to have faith in others,” Seydoux continued.

“I took him everywhere very early on so that he could encounter other cultures,

hear other languages… I am delighted to see that he is not afraid of people.”

Going by all of those words from the actress, one thing is clear she has been

striving to give the best to her only boy, which she had missed as a child, and make him ready for the world.
