A brief examination of Laura Ingraham’s dating history
Ingraham has had several relationships with high-profile names in the past, some of which almost resulted in a wedding.
However, fortune was not on her side, and those relationships did not last.
Dinesh D’Souza, a well-known Indian-American right-wing political commentator, was Ingraham’s first boyfriend when she was in college.
The couple met at Dartmouth University in the early 1980s, while D’Souza was working on The Dartmouth Review.
As their relationship progressed, they even got engaged on an undisclosed date.
Their relationship, however, did not last long, and they eventually called it quits. Even after they split up, the two remained friends.
Ingraham was also present in 2014 when D’Souza was sentenced for campaign finance fraud.
She wrote a letter to the judge presiding over his case, praising him as one of the nicest people she had ever met.
“Dinesh is simply one of the finest human beings I have ever met,” she wrote.
His generosity of spirit, philanthropy, keen sense of compassion, and devotion to the country are traits I hope to instill in my own children as they grow into adults.”
Ingraham dated broadcaster Keith Olbermann briefly in 1998.
Their relationship was only made public a decade later, in 2008, when The New Yorker published an article about Olbermann that mentioned his brief romance with Ingraham.
Other than mentioning their relationship, the outlet provided no additional information, such as when and how they met or how long they were together.
However, Olbermann stated that his and Ingraham’s opposing beliefs were not the cause of their breakup.
“There were a few problems,” he told The New Yorker. There were a few things that I could see being roadblocks. Surprisingly, they had nothing to do with politics.”
Nonetheless, Ingraham has repeatedly chastised her ex-boyfriend for his political views. As a result, their beliefs may have played a role in their breakup.
Ingraham was later rumored to be in a romantic relationship with former politician Robert Torricelli in 1999. These theories, however, were never proven.

Furthermore, many people did not believe the rumors because Torricelli is a Democrat with values that differed from Ingraham’s.
Ingraham was linked to Lawrence H. Summers, an economist, and former Harvard University president, in 2005.
According to the Harvard Crimson, “tabloids were abuzz with rumors of [Robert’s] relationship with conservative radio host Laura Ingraham.”
Neither Ingraham nor Summers, however, commented on the report.
Even if it were true, it appears that they only dated for a short time and kept their relationship private.
Summers and Ingraham’s relationship has yet to be confirmed, but the former’s relationship with Chicago businessman James V. Reyes is well known.
Ingraham announced her engagement to Reyes in April 2005.
According to reports, the now-ex-engaged couple first met on a blind date. Their relationship, however, did not last, and they called it quits.
Ingraham announced their split in May 2015, following her successful chemotherapy and surgery for breast cancer.
