Lana Parrilla has asked for “compassion” after fans began criticizing her over dating rumors involving Ryan Adams. On Thursday, August 4, 2022, the Once Upon a Time actress addressed the online haters via her social media accounts.
She issued a statement in response to the backlash, but disabled her Instagram comment section.
“Please believe in my ability to choose who I want to have in my life,” she began her statement.
There is no need to warn. These negative comments do not need to be read or seen by me.
They are impolite, insensitive, and insulting to my intelligence. Please halt. Thank you very much.”
“I come from a compassionate culture in which I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt.
Investigate further and conduct thorough research. You’ll realize that not everything said about others is true.”
As Parrilla continued, she stated that the trolls’ behavior is a form of bullying, and she will not tolerate it.
“Please stop,” she said, adding an angry emoji.
“I hope, as my fans, you would reflect a kind, loving, and open heart!” she wrote on the last slide of her statement.
I respectfully request that you lead with grace and compassion for others! Thank you very much.”
“PLEASE READ,” she captioned the entire Instagram post. These statements are no longer available on her Twitter or Instagram accounts because she has deleted them.
Nonetheless, it is still available on her Facebook profile, but she may delete it.

Lana Parrilla’s Instagram saga has been explained
As previously stated, Parrilla’s statement comes after speculation that she is dating Ryan Adams.
Their dating rumors began after some onlookers noticed Parrilla and Adams’ flirtatious exchange of comments.
Parrilla posted a selfie on Instagram with the caption “Today” on July 31.
Adams then slid down into the comment section and added two heart and fire emojis. Parrilla then responded with emojis of a kiss, Dracula, and a red heart.
The flirtatious comments didn’t stop there, as Adams responded with two red heart emojis.
Between the two emojis, he had written something in Chinese or Mandarin that couldn’t be translated into English.
These flirtatious comments prompted fans to speculate whether they were dating [The comments have since been removed].
People began discussing the same topic on Reddit, with one even writing, “I don’t know, but that’s some flirty flirtiness.”
“Everyone’s talking about it on Twitter, and she just told people on her Instagram that she can choose who she relates to… “I really hope they’re not in a relationship and that this is all rumor,” one Redditor commented, which was followed by others.
“I think they have something,” some people said later.

It is currently unknown whether or not Parrilla and Adams are dating.
As the romance rumors persisted, people began to criticize Parrilla for allegedly dating Adams, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by several women.
The New York Times reported on February 13, 2019, that seven women, including Adams’ ex-wife Mandy Moore, Phoebe Bridgers, and some underage fans, had accused him of sexual misconduct.
One of the women claimed Adams sent her sexually explicit text messages while she was still underage.
Adams faced backlash after these allegations surfaced as part of the Me Too movement. When he stood up to respond to the allegations, he denied them.
Nonetheless, he apologized via his Twitter account. “I am not a perfect man, and I have made many mistakes,” he wrote. I deeply and unreservedly apologize to anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally.”
The FBI was said to be looking into the matter at the time.
Later, in the Autumn of 2019, the FBI informed Adams’ lawyers that the investigation had been terminated because no evidence of Adams’ illegal behavior with underage girls had been discovered.
Regardless, the backlash against Adams persisted, and his tours were canceled, with full refunds given to ticket holders.
Later, in July 2020, the singer apologized for his actions in a lengthy letter published exclusively by the Daily Mail.
Adams’ apology letter made no mention of any of his alleged victims.
He did, however, state that he “will never be excused for my harmful behavior.”
He also stated that he was sober and regretted his previous behavior. No formal charges were filed against him.

When people began to troll Parrilla for allegedly dating Adams, her fans took to Twitter to defend her.
Parrilla even liked and retweeted some of the encouraging tweets.

In addition, when one user tweeted, “I’m sorry they’re doing this to you,” Parrilla retweeted and stated that she had been through worse.
The actress assured the fan that everything was fine and thanked them for their concern.
