Lacy’s husband, Cody Jones, is enthusiastic about her volunteer work
Lacey Jones is married to Cody Jones. While serving in the United States Army, she met her husband Cody.
She moved to his hometown of Du Quoin, Illinois, with the couple’s two children, Oakley Jones, and Olive Jones, after her contract expired.
Lacey and her husband own Jones and Son Guns, which also offers Concealed Carry Classes.
Cody is a National Rifle Association-certified firearms instructor.
Lacey’s husband has been very supportive of her appearances on reality survival television since she saw Naked and Afraid on Discovery and decided to apply for it.
Cody continued to encourage her despite his concern for her well-being after learning she had been chosen.
According to him, after being naked for so long, Lacey found it challenging to stay clothed for lengthy periods after she returned from the survival challenge.
Lacy Jones and her siblings grew up in a remote area
Lacey Jones, an Army veteran who served in Iraq, has faced adversity before.
She grew up on Quigg Island in Liberty, Maine.
Her family lived off the grid, without running water or electricity, and she was the oldest of five children.
Their house had a generator and a wood stove, so they could cook and stay warm, but everything else was unusual.
Lacey describes her father as a nomad who grew up on the land.
He raised his children in tents because he grew up in tents, and Lacey recalls living in tents for several months as a child.
She claims her mother was a “hippie” naturalist who supported the entire family with a large garden she managed.
Lacey Jones also grew up without a television, which is surprising given that she is now a television personality.
Her unusual upbringing sparked her interest in the outdoors.
She attended summer survivalist school as a child. She learned many techniques that she later used in Naked and Afraid.
“I enjoy adventure and pushing myself,” Lacey told Heavy.
“The previous one was more about a personal journey. There are so many difficult aspects to Naked and Afraid: you’re naked, alone, cold, you miss your family, and for me, it all came down to the mental aspect. I wanted to do Naked and Afraid: Alone to see if I could push my mental boundaries.”
