Kyrie’s father was a financial specialist on Wall Street in New York for many years.

Dred used to work at one of the World Trade Center (WTC) buildings, the same facility where the terrorist attacks occurred, just a few years before the September 11th events.

On the 105th level of that skyscraper, he had previously worked as a financial broker.

Similarly, he worked for another company called Garvan Securities in the same building, but he resigned after getting a job with Thomson Reuters, which was located some distance away from the WTC.

Dred was traveling by those buildings on September 11, 2001, when he heard a loud explosion and became dizzy.

He soon heard people screaming and shouting and saw large blocks of wrecked buildings and planes all around him.

He recalls a horrifying scene with so many charred victims lying about.

Some were even jumping off the twin towers to avoid being burned alive, as he witnessed.

He claims that all he could think about at the time was his children, and he pushed his way through crumbling structures and smoke to get to them as fast as possible.

Kyrie, who was in school at the time of the incident, recalls being concerned about his father.

Even his teachers were sobbing uncontrollably.

He was relieved, however, when his father finally arrived and embraced them after about six hours of the ordeal.

Dred is still numb every time he remembers the attack, despite the fact that he has survived it for more than two decades.
