Why Did Kim Harrison Pick Two Names?

In an interview, the Hollows author explained why she chose to use two names.

The blonde writer explained that using two different monikers was a contractual requirement.

She’d changed publishers. Because of (legal) clauses, she found it easiest to adopt a pen name.

She explained that changing one’s name can get around this.

Kim explained that the main reason was that she had switched publishers and genres (from traditional fantasy to urban fantasy).

Furthermore, her new publisher wanted to distinguish between the Dawn books and the Kim books.

She stated that they didn’t even want anyone to know that they were written by the same author.

Is The Hollows Series Complete?

Kim Harrison, the best-selling author, confirmed in September 2014 that she had concluded her popular series “The Hollows” with “The Witch With No Name.”

The author revealed that the decision to end the series was not taken lightly.

She reasoned that she had so much she wanted to do that she couldn’t bear the thought of writing anything else in the Hollows.

The writer of Ever After, on the other hand, stated that a spinoff series would never be ruled out.

When asked if there was any interest in developing “The Hollows” for television, the writer stated that the only offer she and her agent pursued was the CW deal.

She added that while the network had the rights to “The Hollows” for a short time, the series was canceled during the pilot stage.

Cook explained that she and the creators had other priorities as well. The rights were returned to her.
