2008-09

Kemba took part in every game. He was also chosen to the All-Rookie Team of the Big East.

He only appeared in two games. He did, however, spend an average of 25.5 minutes each game, far more than any other non-starter.

With a 23-point performance against Missouri in the Elite Eight, he also helped the Huskies get to 2009 Final Four.

2009-10

Kemba started all 34 games and averaged 14.6 points per contest. With 18 points against Virginia Tech, he also led the team in scoring for the eighth time in the last nine games of the season.

2010-11

Kemba competed in twelve games as a junior and became the nation’s leading scorer with 26.7 points per game. He also had a five-rebound and 3.8-assist average.

On April 1, 2011, Kemba departed the University of Connecticut and entered the 2011 NBA Draft. The Charlotte Bobcats drafted him ninth overall.

On January 28, 2012, he had his first triple-double with 20 points, 11 assists, and ten rebounds in a game against the Washington Wizards.

During All-Star Weekend in 2012, Kemba took part in the Rising Stars Challenge.

Later, against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kemba won his first NBA game, scoring 22 points on 9 of 19 shooting, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

He averaged 17.7 points, 5.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and two steals a game in the 2012-13 season.

On December 9, 2013, Kemba scored 31 points, 27 in the second half and the final 15 points to help the Bobcats defeat the Golden State Warriors 115-111.

On February 19, 2014, he had 24 points, five rebounds, and a career-high 16 assists in a 116-98 win over the Detroit Pistons.

He was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week after a week in which he averaged 22.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds.

On November 4, 2016, Kemba set a season-high with 30 points in a game against the Brooklyn Nets.

On December 29, he hit his 7000th point with the Charlotte Hornets when he sank a three-pointer with 4 minutes and 16 seconds left in the first quarter against the Miami Heat.

He became the franchise’s fourth player to attain that milestone. He had his 31st game of 30 points or more on December 31.

He became the second player in franchise history to achieve 8000 points during a game against the Denver Nuggets on March 31, 2017, trailing only Dell Curry.

With 19 three-point field goals in the first three games of the season, he set the NBA record for most three-point field goals in a season and became the first player in NBA history to make five or more three-point field goals in each of the first three games.

On November 17, in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Kemba scored a career-high and franchise-best 60 points.

On December 5, he earned his 502nd career start for the Hornets, the most by any player in franchise history.
