Keith Morrison, born on July 2, 1947, in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Canada, is a 72-year-old Caucasian award-winning broadcast journalist and news correspondent of Canadian nationality.

He is arguably most known to the globe for his prominent presence on television and in a variety of media channels, as one of the most well-known “Dateline NBC” reporters of all time.

He has also had a number of other notable triumphs over his frequently successful journalism career, which began in 1966.

In December 1973, he joined “Canada A.M.” as a news anchor, a position he held until January 1975, after which he spent a year at CTV as a correspondent for “CTV News.”

From 1976 to 1979, he was an anchor and reporter for the same station, and from 1979 to 1982, he was a national affairs correspondent.

After establishing a solid journalistic reputation, he joined the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) and served as an anchor and correspondent for a number of CBC-affiliated stations until 1986.

In the same year, he relocated to Los Angeles and began working as a news anchor for KNBC-TV at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Two years later, he was hired as a west coast correspondent for “NBC News,” specifically for “NBC Nightly News” and “Today Show.”

The Ascension of a Legend

Keith had the distinction of covering a wide range of highly significant global events during his early days at NBC, including the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests.

Aside from that, he was a key contributor in a number of hour-long documentaries, all of which had a significant impact on his career and popularity thus far.

He returned to Canada in 1992 to co-anchor “Canada A.M.” on CTV once more, while simultaneously hosting “The Editors” on PBS. Keith returned to NBC as a correspondent in 1995.
