And while keeping in mind her work commitments, the sports broadcaster intended to express the changes in her personal life with her viewers.

She explained, “I’m going to be a mom. Of a real-life individual.
And I’m pretty excited about it. My boyfriend and I’ll be permitted to leave the hospital with a baby in February.”
In addition, Smith admitted that she never intended to have kids or become a mother in the first place.
And she added she used to tell that information openly to her close ones.
She continued to relate the moments when she went to New York and
chose relationships that fit her decision not to have kids.
However, everything changed when she came across her present boyfriend.
For instance, when she became pregnant, her boyfriend told her that she was “going to be an incredible mom.”
She also wrote, “But instead we both immediately understood this
baby was changing our lives in the best manner possible.”
Besides that, through her blog, she claimed that she had kept the news a secret amongst her family.
Sharing why she did so, she highlighted that she was unsure about “how to convey the news.”
“…so I’ve done what I’m pretty good at avoidance to the utmost degree.
I didn’t even inform my relatives until recently,” she remarked.
So to hide her pregnancy, she began fake drinking in public and even started wearing big large clothes.
Moreover, she specifically did that because everyone around her knew that she adored red wine and vodka shots.
All that being said, due to her devotion to her co-workers [Dave, Dan, Brandon, and Deion]
and considering her “mental health,” Smith wanted to share the news before the approaching football season.

The news reporter remarked, “I have to brag on baby daddy for a second.
I never imagined I deserved (let alone would find) anybody so unbelievable.
As clichéd as it sounds, he truly loved me while I learned to love myself again, and I know he’s going to be a great dad.”
Smith further said that her boyfriend satisfies all of her cravings while she is pregnant.
She claimed, “he keeps pickles, tomatoes, spicy sauce, graham crackers, bananas,
and cheese blocks stocked HEAVY.”
