Who is Julian Alaphilippe?
Julian Alaphilippe hails from Saint-Amand-Montrond, which hosted the 2013 Tour de France and was recognized as one of the most beautiful courses in the sport’s history. Julian Alaphilippe is also a two-time world champion for the UCI World Team Deceuninck-Quick-Step.
He recently had a son with a former rider a year Julian’s senior. Both partners are highly regarded by the French people.

On June 11, 1992, the Frenchman was born in Saint-Amand-Montrond.
His father, Jo Alaphilippe, and mother, Christine Alaphilippe, had him as the eldest child/son.

“Then one of my friends suggested I go to the club in Montluçon and ride with the kids,” Julian explained.
Julian arrived at the Entente Cycliste de Montmarault Montluçon, the cycling school’s coach, and he was described as having “character” and being a “great youngster.”
“He was the tiniest in the group, but he had something special; the temperament, the mentality to win,” another official remarked.
Early Career of Julian Alaphilippe
Julian found early success in cyclocross, where he spent two seasons as a Florentaise for the United States.
The Frenchman finished second in the junior ‘cross worlds in 2010.
In addition, he won the junior World Cup event in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium.
Given his accomplishments, he was assigned to the French army unit, L’Armée de Terre.
