According to the Bulloch County Coroner, the footballer took his own life and committed suicide. Jordan evidently missed his mother and texted his friends and relatives before taking such a major step.
Wiggins took too much Benadryl, a common over-the-counter antihistamine used to treat allergy symptoms.
Following the event, Georgia Southern sent out an email expressing their condolences to the student’s family, friends, and classmates.
The news saddened his high school coach, who had also adopted the late player.
The Eagles postponed practice and took some time to grieve.
The news of his death was difficult to accept for some of his boyhood pals. They said he was always there for them and always supported them.
A classmate who was in his class with him stated he had trouble dealing with reality since kindergarten.
All of Godby High’s alumnus expressed their sympathies to the late football player Wiggins.
People in his immediate vicinity only had good recollections to share: The news, according to Tom Kleinlein, the director of athletics, was devastating.
“Despite the fact that Jordan has only been on campus for a few months, he has made a lasting impression on our program.” He was a wonderful person, a fantastic colleague, and a wonderful friend to the entire Georgia Southern family.”
