Jonathan Keltz discussed “talking with an accent” in an interview with Hallmark Channel.
Speaking with a British accent, he stated that he kept the accent from the start of the day until the end of filming because it made him self-conscious.
“I want to feel relaxed and not think about it so that it’s something that said habitual versus something that I have to actively work on,” the Prom actor said.
During an interview with Starry Mag, the interviewer asked Keltz how he became Nate, an English Prince in the film Once Upon a Prince.
He revealed that he was already familiar with the accent due to his previous role in the historical romantic TV series Reign.
“Thankfully, I was already familiar with the accent,” the Once Upon a Time actor said.
“Obviously, I had to practice the accent, but as you know from ‘Reign,’ I was never quite of royal lineage, so I got to play the other side on this one,” she told the magazine.
The American actor also mentioned that the director of Once Upon a Prince, who was born in England, assisted him with his accent or caught him if he slipped.
