For the 2006 NFL Draft, Joel was not drafted; however, he attended the mini camps of the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints.

Luckily, Joel signed the contract with New Orleans right after the mini camps. But he was released from the Saints after 11 days of signing contracts on June 2, 2006.

Broadcasting Career

Joel started his broadcasting career in 2006 after he worked as an analyst on Friday night high school football games for the FSN Rocky Mountain sports network.

After that, he worked as a studio host on the Fox Sports Southwest for the Saturday college football coverage.

Klatt continued his successful career in broadcasting and became a color analyst for Fox Sports Net in 2009.

After that, he worked for Colorado Rockies and Root Sports Rocky Mountain. Klatt started hosting a series of sports radio shows from 2007 to 2012 in the Denver area.

While working with the Denver area, he hosted a program on an FM Station 104.3 from 2011 to 12. In August 2013, Klatt joined Fox Sports (FS1), where he spent two years.
