Jemima Kirke and Dunham have done a lot of things together because they were best friends in high school.
Kirke, who is infatuated with tattoos, wants her best pal to have one as well.
Kirke revealed to Vanity Fair in April 2012 that she was the one who suggested Dunham get a tattoo.
“I have a handful of tattoos that I really want to put on people, but I can’t find anyone who will let me give them to,” Kirke explained.
She went on to say that Dunham allowed her to do one of them, a Yorkshire terrier on her ribcage.
She was later questioned about how she persuaded Dunham to get a tattoo.
While answering, she stated that it was quite simple because “Lena, to me, is the easiest person to shop for.”
She went on to say, “Anything I would buy for her, she would find it cool in some way.”
“If there’s something that I am into that may be a little bit out there for some people, Lena will always be the person to meet me there. It’s the same with the tattoo.”
