Jason Connery is the son of Academy Award-winning actor Sean Connery and his now-ex-wife actress Diane Cilento, but he has established himself as an actor and filmmaker.

Jason Connery is best known for his role as Robert of Huntingdon in the TV action-drama series “Robin Hood” (1986), as well as his portrayal of Macbeth in the 1997 drama film “Macbeth,” among many other projects on which he has worked since beginning his career.

Early life and Childhood

Jason Connery was born on January 11, 1963, in Marylebone, London, England, the son of Diane Cilento and Sean Connery.

Jason Connery attended Millfield School in Street, a village in Somerset, England, and later Gordonstoun School in Moray, Scotland.

He found success in the years that followed, starring in several successful productions, including the drama film “The Boy Who Had Everything” (1985).

Then in the romantic drama film “The Venetian Woman” (1986), and the same year he was cast in the TV series “Robin Hood” as Robert of Huntingdon, who becomes the new Robin Hood.

Before the decade ended, Jason appeared in the fantasy film “Puss in Boots” (1988), alongside Christopher Walken and Carmela Marner.

And finished the decade as the lead in the war action-thriller film “Casablanca Express” (1989), which catapulted him to national prominence.

Jason portrayed Ian Fleming, the creator of Jason Bond, in the television film “Spymaker: The Secret Life of Ian Fleming” (1990).

But it wasn’t until 1996 that he had another notable role, this time in the television film “Midnight in Saint Petersburg,” co-starring Michael Caine

And Yuri Limonty, before starring as Macbeth in the film of the same name the following year.

Before the end of the decade, Jason appeared in the horror film “Urban Ghost Story” (1998) and the television fantasy film “Metlin” (1998), but neither was as successful as his previous projects.

With the turn of the millennium, Jason shifted his focus to voice acting, making his debut as Bennington in the animated series “Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action!” (2001-2002).

Which follows the adventures of sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

In 2003, he voiced characters in the animated series “Gadget and the Gadgetinis,” and the following year, he voiced Dad in the animated series “Shoebox Zoo.”

He continued to do voice work into the second half of the 2000s, most notably as the voice of Mr. Trollheimer in “Mr. Trollheimer” (2005) .

As Haggis in the animated film “The Search for Santa Paws” in 2010.

Jason hasn’t pursued any new acting projects in recent years, though he did appear as a Psychiatrist in the film “Alien Strain” (2014).

And in the comedy-drama film “The Untold Story” (2019), and is currently working on the new romantic comedy film “Byrd and the Bees.”

In addition to his acting abilities, Jason has demonstrated his filmmaking abilities, making his directorial debut in 2009 with the sci-fi horror action film “The Devil’s Tomb,” written by Keith Kjornes and starring Cuba Gooding Jr., Ray Winstone, and Ron Perlman.
