It has been nearly 25 years since the gruesome murder of John Ramsey’s six-year-old daughter shocked the nation; a case that has yet to be solved.

John and his family went through a lot, from losing their child to being suspects in the murder.

Moving on appears to have been difficult for Ramsey’s family.

However, JonBenet’s father is now in a long-term relationship with a designer he met after the death of his wife, Patsy.

To learn about his current partner, Jan Rousseaux, her life before meeting Ramsey, and how the two keep their professional and personal lives apart.

Rousseaux was born somewhere in 1958.

Jan has odd beginnings in East Africa, where she was raised by missionary parents.

She had minimal resources in Ethiopia throughout the 1960s and 1970s, which pushed her to learn to reuse clothing on a treadle sewing machine.

Jan created a pair of boxer shorts out of a pillowcase when she was eleven years old for an Ethiopian deaf guy.

She attended several schools, including one in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, before enrolling at Baptist Bible College.

Although it has not been established, Jan may have studied in Germany and may have graduated from Missouri State University.

She spotted the servers wearing highly ugly costumes that didn’t fit with the tone of the establishment one day while having breakfast at a diner.

Jan went back to the drawing board and drew a line of aprons that suited the character of the small eatery.

And thus her interest in designing for the hospitality industry began.

In July 2011, Jon Rousseaux married JonBenet’s father, John Ramsey.

Rousseaux apparently met her husband John two years ago at a friend’s wedding in Denver.

“She was attractive and vivacious, and she told me she enjoyed watching The Office.”

In 2012, John told People about Rousseaux. Rousseaux and Ramsey appear to be devout Christians.

They are also the owners of a promotional marketing firm in Las Vegas.

The current husband of the hospitality clothing maker has run unsuccessfully for public office in Charlevoix twice.

Ramsey’s first and second marriages produced four children.

His two sons, John Andrew Ramsey and Burke Ramsey are still alive.

Following the loss of his second wife, Patsy, John dated Beth Twitty, the mother of Natalee Holloway, who went missing in Aruba in 2005.

They later divorced Rousseaux’s husband, claiming that “Beth was behind me in terms of the sorrow cycle.”

Rousseaux was having financial difficulties five years before her marriage to John Ramsey.

According to her 2005 bankruptcy declaration, she had only $100 to her name and was $230,000 in debt.

Furthermore, in a previous bankruptcy petition in 2003, she and her then-husband Bobby Joe Mays stated that they had only $38 in the bank.

Jan Rousseaux’s net worth

Jan, who has been in the fashion industry since she was a child, is bound to have had ups and downs in numerous areas, whether it’s economics or the career itself.

As previously said, it was not all gold and glitter for the now 63-year-old designer, who faced insolvency and a handful of setbacks.

Nonetheless, with all of her projects and reputation as a veteran fashion entrepreneur, everything seemed to be good for Rousseaux.

There is, however, little to no discussion of her net worth or financial situation.

Nonetheless, given her extensive career, Jan may be worth millions, if not a really wealthy businesswoman.
