Michael Gandolfini, Marcy Wudarski’s son, struggled to play his father’s character
Michael made his film debut in Ocean’s 8 and later appeared in The Many Saints of Newark as Tony Soprano, the character originally played by his late father, James Gandolfini, in The Sopranos.
It wasn’t easy for him to play a young Tony Soprano, the character made famous by his father on the HBO series.
“There is a lot of pressure,” he told The New York Times. “There’s apprehension.
But the second layer, which many people overlook and which was actually more difficult, was playing Tony Soprano.”
He stated that it wasn’t just his father’s sentiment, but Tony Soprano himself was a complicated character.
Michael Wudarski is Marcy Wudarski’s only child with James Gandolfini
In March 1999, James married his first wife, Marcy Wudarski. Marcy is well-known as James Gandolfini’s wife.
She is, however, a celebrity in her own right, having worked as a producer in the entertainment industry on numerous occasions.
According to Amomama, she was raised in a working-class military family.
The couple began dating after a working relationship.
They soon moved into a West Village apartment and married in a small and private ceremony.
Marcy was already pregnant at the time, and Michael was born on May 10, 1999, just a few months after the couple married.
Their marriage, however, did not last, and they divorced in 2002 after about three years.
Although Marcy did not specify why they divorced, she did reveal in an interview that The Sopranos actor was addicted to drugs and alcohol during their marriage.

James Gandolfini died unexpectedly on June 19, 2013, at the age of 51, in Rome.
He was set to return to Sicily a few days later to accept an award at the Taormina Film Festival.
At around 10 p.m., his 14-year-old son Michael discovers him unconscious on the toilet floor of the Boscolo Exedra Hotel after a day in the sweltering heat.
Michael dialed reception, who then dialed 911 for paramedics.
James was taken to the hospital at 10:40 p.m. and died 20 minutes later.
According to the autopsy results, he died of a heart attack.
Following the actor’s death, state and national officials took to the internet to pay their respects.
Marcy, his ex-wife, was also present at his funeral.
