Who is Ivana Spanovic?

Ivana Spanovic is a long jumper. Ivana Spanovic made history by being the first athlete from his country to compete at the IAAF Outdoor World Championships. In addition, Ivana won a gold medal for the senior women’s division at the IAAF Indoor World Championships.

Ivana has improved as an athlete while working with coach Goran Obradovi. She currently belongs to the Novi Sad Athletic Club Vojvodina as an associate.

Early Life, Family, and Education

Ivana Spanovic was born on May 10, 1990 to Vesna Spanovic, and a proud father, Ljubia Spanovic.

Ivana’s mother was a well-known athlete in her era and a long jumper as well.

Spanovic gravitated into the sport that her mother played and developed into the person she is today.

Ivana’s education and training are also not entirely clear, but we do know a little bit about her early life.

She loved Avril Lavigne a lot, and one of her friends gave her the CD. She adored all of her songs as a child.

In addition, Ivana earned a Citroen C1 mini-car in 2008 after winning the global junior championship.

She rapidly grew attached to it because she had only recently learned to drive.

When she was younger, the world champion enjoyed experimenting with her hair.

She shaved part of her head, although she later regretted it and claimed to have had a chaotic upbringing.

Ivana adored practicing karate as a child. She spent two years working out with her older brother and earned her green belt.

The main reason karate was discontinued was that her brother switched sports.

World and European Indoor Champion

Ivana is the current world and European champion in the long jump, as is well known.

She won gold medals at the Summer Universiade in 2009 and the World Junior Championships in 2008.

Ivana also made a contribution to the next Olympic Games round.

Ivana was then put forward as the nation’s Best Young Athlete.

She finished in second place in the 2007 World Youth, European Junior, and European U23 Championships as a consequence.

She qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games as well.

Not only that, but Ivana also caught the 6.82-meter new national record. She was named the year’s top female athlete by the Serbian Olympic Committee.

At the World Indoor Championships later that year, she finished in third place, but at the European Outdoor Championship and IAAF Continental Cup, she came in second.

In the long jump event of the Diamond League competition, Ivana won a silver medal.

Initial victory

She set the way for her first victory as a top athlete in 2015 by winning the European indoor title.

Ivana set a new state record there by jumping 6.98 meters.

At the World outdoor championship, she also won a second bronze medal.

She experienced everything as Spanovic improved her national mark twice: first in qualification (6.91) and second in the finals (7.01 got two times).

The next year, Ivana won a silver medal in the long jump in the Diamond League competition.

She was named the year’s top female athlete, according to the Serbian Olympic Committee.

This woman placed first in every competition in 2016, but she was denied the prize.

This occurrence happened as a result of Brittney Reese’s peculiar 7.22 in the last round.

Ivana then won the 2017 Diamond League race in a sizable leap for a second consecutive year.

Spanovic’s performance in the European Championships qualification round was exhilarating to watch.

But a wound she received in that round forced her to abandon up and keep her designation private.

Speaking of the injury, it occurred at the Achilles tendon. Ivana was regrettably obliged to drop her season’s last role as a result.

Ivana won a gold medal at the competition despite being wounded earlier in the summer.

This Serbian champion had multiple injuries all summer long. And as a result, she was forced to forfeit the Doha World Championships.

Additionally, Ivana had a broken metatarsal bone in June of 2020. She then made the decision to end the season due to the occurrence.

Ivana only participated in one game in Novi Sad throughout that season as a result.

Ivana Spanovic is currently tied to Marko Vuleta, her fiancé. Marko is a dietician and fitness instructor.

They talk on the phone every time she returns to Zrenjanin, her hometown.

Ivana has excellent support from Jani. The athlete thought he had a significant impact on her career and enjoyed working with him.
