She is currently gaining attention for her parts in the Apple TV+ drama Dickinson (2019-21) and Marvel’s Disney+ series Hawkeye (2021).
She will also reprise her role as Gwen Stacy in the animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – Part One (2022).

Her unmarried status was also revealed when Cosmopolitan interviewed her on November 16, 2021.
During that exclusive interview, she was asked what she would say to her admirers who were curious about her dating life.
She responded by saying she is currently very focused on herself and “couldn’t be happier about it.”
“There are times when I think, “All my friends are engaged, married, or dating.”
That appears to be a lovely thing, doesn’t it? I never have those “Oh my God, I’m so single” moments, but it’s interesting how many people have been engaged or married in the last year or two.”
Finally, she joked, “I’m like, “Everybody’s gotta slow down for me, okay?”
Steinfeld appears to be enjoying her singlehood for the time being, and she may return to dating when she feels ready.

The interviewer then questioned her, “What exactly are some of the things you want?” In response, she stated that she seeks a partner who is “faithful and honest, but confident in themselves and able to do their thing while I do mine.”
“It’s uncomfortable talking about it since it’s been in my thoughts for so long,” she continued.
A lot of this music is also about gaining control and self-awareness.
But I also believe that there is strength in expressing what you want, and sometimes what you want is not to be alone.”
Given her ideal spouse, whoever ends up with all of those attributes will be fortunate to have Steinfeld in his life, and vice versa.

Although she is presently single, her dating status was not always the same. She had a handful of romances with well-known people.
Steinfeld began dating an internet personality named Cameron Smoller in 2016.
They made their red carpet debut as a pair at the 2017 Golden Globes in January 2017.
However, shortly after they appeared as a pair, news circulated that the two had split up.
It’s unclear when and why the couple chose to split up.
Later, in early 2018, speculations circulated that the actress/singer was seeing former One Direction member Niall Horan.
The rumors were rampant, and Steinfeld wasted no time in addressing them. In an interview with US Weekly in January 2018, she stated:
“I feel so fortunate that [my fans] care enough about me to know what I’m up at every second of every day, but I think it’s often difficult for people, in general, to understand that there are boundaries to a person’s life and personal life.”

The next year, she released Wrong Direction as part of her second EP, Half Written Story. Many thought the song’s title, ‘Wrong Direction,’ referred to Horan, a former member of One Direction.
