When I was 14 and 15, I felt I was queer

Dennis Rodman has two sisters, Debra and Kim, and growing up with them had a significant impact on his life.

He even began to doubt his sexuality.

Rodman claimed in an interview with Oprah that he used to think he was gay.

“I was quite bashful and insecure. I used to think I was gay when I was 14, or 15 since I spent so much time with my sisters.

Everyone asked, ‘Do you have any man friends?’ and I said, ‘No.’ I felt safe spending time with my mother and sisters.”

Dennis grew raised without a father figure because Philander Rodman abandoned him when he was three or four years old.

Philander claimed to have fathered 29 children with 16 different women.

It’s not surprising, however, that Dennis found comfort and security with his sisters and mother.

It would have been a different story if he had become gay, but his life would have been just as wonderful.

Several times, the Chicago Bulls legend was observed cross-dressing,

raising speculations that he was a member of the LGBTQ community.

But the truth is that Dennis has no qualms about having sexual relations with guys or dressing in women’s clothing.

He was also involved with other A-list celebrities, including Madonna and Carmen Electra.

The resurrecting champion was perhaps ahead of his time, dressing in women’s clothing long before the advent of social media.

Rodman demolished stereotypes about what it means to be a basketball player and a man.

The five-time NBA champion demonstrated that being unique is OK and that he didn’t care what people thought of him or his opulent lifestyle.

Congratulations to his mother for raising him correctly despite the fact that he grew up without a father figure in their home, which is generally an undesirable condition for young children.
