Many of you are probably already aware of Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo. The pair made their romance public about eight months ago, and they are still going strong.
However, the road to that confirmation was a bumpy one for fans of reality TV personalities.
The same might be said of Conover and DeSorbo’s romance.
It’s because the two had been friends for years and even dated others before ultimately admitting their affection for each other.
Conover and DeSorbo met for the first time in the summer of 2019 during Bravo’s Summer House season 4.
Conover was there as a visitor to attend Kyle Cooke’s birthday party, although DeSorbo was already a member of the Summer House.
Following their initial meeting, the Southern Charm star DMed DeSorbo on Instagram by sending an artist’s artwork of her, which she had shared.
“Wow, this is pretty cool,” he said of the painting.
And DeSorbo said, “LOL, I know, right?” They didn’t talk for almost two years following that discussion.
“So, I’m not sure if I nailed it with that reaction, or it was bad,” DeSorbo said of the chat in June 2022 to E! News.

Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo ran into each other again on Winter House
As fate would have it, Conover and DeSorbo reconnected roughly two years later and had a brief interaction on Instagram.
They met again thanks to another Bravo show, Winter House.
On the project, the two became co-stars and became fast friends after spending 17 days filming the episode in Vermont with other cast members in February 2021.
Conover and DeSorbo didn’t start a love relationship since the former was missing his then-girlfriend Natalie Hegnauer.
DeSorbo and her friends visited Conover in Charleston, South Carolina, more than a month after the filming of Winter House concluded.
When their fans found out, they immediately assumed the two co-stars were dating.
DeSorbo, on the other hand, was quick to dispel the allegations, telling the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, “Craig and I are a thousand percent not dating.”
Craig and I had known one other for a long time.
We’ve always got along well. We’ve always been close.”
“We have really similar personalities.”
We’re not romantically involved or anything, but we’re really close,” she continued.
Nonetheless, in another interview with ET Online, the reality TV personality revealed that she and Conover went a step further in their friendship by kissing.
“On that vacation, I learned Craig was unmarried, and we were nothing but buddies.”
“And then the last night he kind of kissed me,” DeSorbo concluded.
‘It’s crazy that you haven’t kissed me yet,’ I said, and he was like, ‘I didn’t know where we were at that time.'”
DeSorbo returned to the Summer House set in late June 2021, almost two months after their first kiss, to begin filming the sixth season.
At the time, it was unclear whether Conover would return to the show.

As time passed, reports of Conover and DeSorbo’s romance began to circulate on the internet.
And it will be stoked even further when the two attend the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs on August 19, 2021.
And, while they were not observed enjoying any PDA-filled moments at the Liberty International Golf Course, their presence at the event was enough to persuade their followers of their closeness.
On September 25, 2021, the reported pair was seen together again as they attended the wedding of their co-stars Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula.
DeSorbo had shared a photo with Conover on her Instagram stories.
Finally, their relationship was verified in October 2021, when the two made their romance public.
During an exclusive interview with People Magazine around the same time, Conover discussed his now-girlfriend and their love.
“We both had a crush on each other three years ago when I arrived in the Hamptons for Kyle’s birthday party,” he explained.
We have a thing for each other.”
He went on to say that their romance developed spontaneously.
“It was done in a healthy way,” he continued. We first developed a friendship and got to know each other organically.
On the show, you can see the foundation of our friendship forming.”
Conover also explained why he and DeSorbo kept their relationship hidden for so long, stating that they wanted to remain out of the public eye during their early days as a dating pair.
“It perplexed me when people didn’t believe it was real or that we were there for publicity.”

“I haven’t posted anything about it because it’s so personal,” he said.
Similarly, during an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper the following month, DeSorbo discussed her relationship with Conover and addressed some of the vitriol their affair had received.
DeSorbo began the discussion with the backlash, saying, “The number one thing that’s really pissed me off is people are like, ‘Oh they’re just acting and doing this as a PR gimmick.'”

She then explained why she hasn’t yet made her connection with Conover’s Instagram official.
“The only reason I haven’t posted him is that I haven’t taken a grid-worthy photo of him.”
And here is my actual boyfriend; you don’t share your boyfriend on Instagram until he says, ‘I love you.'”
DeSorbo later revealed in an interview with daily!’s Pop that she has been spending the holidays with Conover’s family and vice versa.
She was also asked if there was an engagement proposal on the table or not.
In response, DeSorbo joked, “I mean, we’ve only been dating for a few months.
But if I can fool him into a diamond ring, I’ll do it!”

The reality TV personality took to Instagram on December 19, 2021, to share a sweet picture with her lover and make their relationship Instagram official.
DeSorbo shared a photo from a holiday event with the message “Sew in love.”
Her caption also alluded to her boyfriend’s clothing line, Sewing Down South.
Conover and DeSorbo have been posting images of themselves with each other on Instagram since making their relationship public.
Conover has published several posts in which he expresses his love for his partner.
DeSorbo has also been supportive of her partner.
The most essential thing is that they want to have a future with one other.
Conover discussed starting a family with DeSorbo in a March 2022 interview with Page Six.
“We’ve talked about marriage and spending our lives together, which we’re excited about,” he remarked. We discuss children and families.”
However, the couple is not in a hurry to do so, as Conover noted on the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast.
“I suppose we’d be in Charleston,” he replied, “but I don’t think she’ll ever not have an apartment in New York.”
“We’re just in a privileged position where we don’t have to make those hard decisions.”
We’re both quite busy and traveling right now.
