He was fucking drunk
Kwame Brown admitted that he didn’t have the advantage of having quality veterans when he first entered the NBA.
And this was a major reason for his early career struggles.
Gilbert Arenas, though, provided a different reason for the 6’11” center’s
poor performance in an interview with VLAD TV. Brown, according to Gil, was an alcoholic.
“I can now be honest. We don’t get along.
He was completely inebriated, man. Kwame Brown was exactly that.
I had a horrible game because I was inebriated.
You played a good game, inebriated. I was bored and inebriated. It was his way of dealing with life.”

Agent Zero also dismissed Brown’s career earnings of $66 million.
A short Google search for his net worth reveals that he made approximately $64 million in NBA salary and an extra $35 million in deals and endorsements.
Kwame could have earned more for Gilbert, but he was not offered more lucrative contracts due to his love of drinking.
“From 2001 to 2017, the average No. 1 player earned $212 million in their career,” Arenas revealed.
It’s difficult to verify the veracity of this accusation, especially given Arenas and Brown’s past.
Last year, the two traded insults online about LeBron James checking his teammates’ stats.
Gilbert and Kwame shared a locker room in Washington for two years,
but it appears that no love has been lost between the former Wizards.
