Career in High School

Greg attended Edison High School in Fresno, California, from 2005 until 2008. Smith had a junior season scoring average of 22 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 blocks.

Career in College

In his first year at Fresno State, Greg was selected as the WAC Rookie of the Year and a Freshman All-American.

Additionally, Smith’s sophomore year saw him earn second-team All-WAC honors. In 31 games, he averaged 30.4 minutes per game and 11.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 blocks.

In March 2011, Smith gave notice that he would forgo his final two years of college eligibility to enter the NBA draft.

Professional Career

He refocused on playing professionally abroad after suffering several setbacks due to injuries, making stops in Turkey, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

On October 7, 2016, the player signed with Istanbul BB of the Turkish League. Before being released in late November, he participated in seven games for Istanbul.
