Is Gold Rush still on? Updates for Season 13

Season 12 of Gold Rush premiered on September 24, 2021, with new episodes airing weekly at 8 p.m. ET / PT.

The season finale, or the 24th episode, aired on March 25, 2022.

The latest episode of Discovery followed Tony Beets, Rick Ness, Fred Lewis, and Parker Schnabel’s mining crews as they joined forces with the neighboring Clayton Brothers at the end of the season.

Since the conclusion of Season 12, fans have been wondering if the show would be renewed for another season.

They also want to know if the show will be canceled, as several other networks have unexpectedly canceled some of their popular movies and television shows.

That does not appear to be the case for Gold Rush, as there has been no word of the show being canceled by Discovery.

According to People Magazine, one of the major reasons why the show is less likely to be canceled is that Gold Rush is Discovery’s most-watched title.

However, no information about the new season has been released.

Perhaps this is due to the fact that season 12 ended on March 25, 2022, and it may be some time before the network prepares to greenlight season 13.

For the time being, Gold Rush has not been canceled, and season 13 is more likely.

In terms of the 2022 Gold Rush cast, we’ve already seen some familiar faces in season 12, and the same may be true in the new season, though there may be some additions.

When is the next Gold Rush on Discovery?

Every week at 8 p.m. ET / PT, Gold Rush season 12 aired.

However, because there is no new season, no new episodes of Gold Rush are currently airing on Discovery.

If you still want to watch the show, you can get a Discovery subscription and binge-watch previous seasons.

Parker has he left Gold Rush?

Parker has not abandoned Gold Rush.

Parker Schnabel, aka Parker, has been a part of Gold Rush since its first season and is an essential part of the show.

He was also recently seen in the all-new season of his spinoff show Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail, which aired following Gold Rush season 12.

Parker’s Trail’s new season saw him exploring New Zealand’s mining towns.

Parker’s Trail aired a special episode on June 10, 2022, and its first episode aired on June 17.

The spinoff show only aired six episodes, with the season finale on July 25, 2022.

When Gold Rush season 12 premiered, fans were shocked to learn that Ruault had left Parker’s crew and joined Rick Ness’ rival team.

How much money does Rick Ness make from Gold Rush?

Rick Ness was Parker’s right-hand man when he joined Gold Rush in season 2.

However, at the end of season 8, Ness decided to step out of Parker’s shadow and begin working on her own.

Ness began operating independently for the first time in Gold Rush season 9.

He had mined 1,105 ounces of gold worth $1.3 million by the end of the season.

Ness and his team also mined 2,074 ozt (64,500 g) of gold in season 12.

Is Gold Rush pre-written?

When it comes to reality television series, one of the most common questions is whether the show is unscripted/real or scripted/fake.

Many Gold Rush viewers have asked the same questions.

The answer remains consistent: some of the events depicted in the show are true, while others are fabricated.

However, former show cast member Jimmy Dorsey has claimed that Gold Rush is scripted.

During an interview with Oregon Gold, the interviewer asked him if the show was scripted, and he revealed the truth.

Dorsey responded, “Sure. Every documentary format is scripted. It’s all scripted from the start.

They knew exactly what they expected from the program. Even my departure was scripted, but the manner in which it occurred was not.”

“The plans had been made, but the footsteps had been ours. They put you in these situations on purpose.

It became all too real. That’s how I ended up with broken ribs. There was no fight…at all… Greg punched me in the face. He shattered my ribs.”

“That was very real, but it was also in the script for episode four, which ended up being episode six, that I would end up leaving the show,” Dorsey continued.

They kind of nudge you in the direction of making these things happen.”

Dorsey’s statements also demonstrate that there is a common ground between real and fake reality TV shows.

In Gold Rush, the producers create the circumstances, but the action begins when the circumstances are plotted and carried out.
