The legendary player spent 11 seasons with the Los Angeles Rams and his last five with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Roman Gabriel’s private life has garnered a lot of fan interest.

The soccer player got married three times.

He wed Lisa Katolin, Tedra Bidwell, and Suzanne Horton, giving birth to four sons and a daughter.

He made his first three sons and married Suzanne for the first time.

Roman Gabriel’s first wife, Suzanne Horton (1960-1971)

Roman Gabriel, from whom he later divorced, was married to three separate women.

His first union was with Suzanne Horton in 1960.

Roman, despite having asthma, played high school football at New Hanover High School, where they both attended high school.

After earning his New Hannover degree in 1958, Roman moved to North Carolina State University to play collegiate football.

During his two years at college, he was married to Suzanne Horton.

At this time, it is unclear if the pair attended the same college.

Roman married and finished a successful collegiate career before being selected second overall in the 1962 NFL Draft and joining the Los Angeles Rams.

Three daughters also gave birth to three sons: Roman III Gabriel, Ram Allen Gabriel, and Rory Jay.

After 11 years of marriage, the pair split in 1971, at which time Suzanne experienced one of the best times of his life.

It’s not apparent why they broke apart.

Tedra Bidwell and Roman Gabriel’s second marriage (1972-1980)

The circumstances that led to his first marriage’s dissolution are beyond the public’s control.

Therefore, we were unable to determine whether Roman had ever dated Tedra Lynn Bidwell, his second wife, prior to their divorce.

However, it didn’t take him or Suzanne very long to formally part ways before Tedra started another marriage.

The Los Angeles Rams quarterback wed Tedra Bidwells, an air freight business assistant, on January 29, 1972.

Tedra married at the age of 21, with a ten-year age difference.

After being married, 1972 was a significant year for Roman.

After 11 seasons, he also left the Los Angeles Rams in the same year.

Roman and Tedra’s union did not endure beyond their first union.

In 1980, after eight years of marriage, they called it quits.

Brandon Gabriel was their only kid together before their relationship was finally dissolved in August by court documents.

Third Marriage of Roman Gabriel Katolin, Lisa Ann (1980 – 2005)

Although the reasons for each Roman Gabriel’s divorces are unknown, it should be noted that his longest marriage has been since he stopped playing soccer.

A few months after finalizing his divorce from Lisa, in July 1980, Roman wed Lisa Ann Katolin.

The legendary Rams player left professional football three years prior, in 1977, after playing for the Philadelphia Eagles for five years.

Her married Tedra starts his successful career as a football coach the same year.

He may have first encountered her while he was an assistant coach at the Collège of the Desert of Ray Butcher.

Roman Gabriel and Lisa Ann Katolin were wed at the Palomino Ranch in Rancho Mirage.

A wedding with more than 400 attendees was a formal event.

At the Marriott’s Rancho Las Palmas Resort, people by the names of Marlin McKeever and Myron Pattios were there.

For Lisa, the daughter of Robert and Norma Katolin and the former sports information director, it was her first marriage and at least a long one.

They remained partners up until Amber Noel, the Rams’ sole child, was born in 2005.

While dating, Lisa and Roman both developed a strong interest in charitable work.

They frequently staged prestigious golf tournaments in support of leukemia, MS, and muscular dystrophy.

Army and Unique Olympic have profited from their service.

But after spending more than twenty years together, they ultimately parted ways.

Roman Gabriel’s bond with his kids and mothers has endured despite his grumpiness and self-admitted ignorance.

Roman adopts the traits of his unsuccessful marriages, despite the fact that his weddings show that successful professional football has been a significant impact.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, he said that his groaning and arrogance were to reason for no one wanting to spend out with him.

Along with his spouses, from whom he freely confesses that he was not a great father, it also contains his children.

He has at least three grandchildren, two of whom he hasn’t seen since 2007, and one of whom he’s never even met.

Perhaps, for this reason, only Roman III Gabriel, the closest of his children from his first marriage, has been publicly associated with him.

Roman III is a motivational speaker, preacher, and radio host.

He is a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church and the president of the Sold Out ministry in Boone, North Carolina.

By speaking with NFL players, he concentrates his ministry on proclaiming the gospel during Super Bowl week.

He gave hundreds of secondary and middle school pupils inspiring speeches about living a drug- and alcohol-free life.

Additionally, he is the host of the Sports Talk program on American Family Radio, which airs in 200 cities.

He was a professional football player for the Oakland Raiders before a neck injury ended his career and led him to pursue a career in Christian ministry.

He currently leads a peaceful life in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Roman Gabriel was a good soccer player because of traits like aggression and bullheadedness.

But in his private life, they didn’t work out.

The Los Angeles Rams legend consequently appears to live a solitary existence in an apartment in Wilmington, North Carolina.

After a brief head coaching stint at the World League of American Football’s California State Polytechnic University, Pomon, and Raleigh-Durham, he abruptly ended his participation in the sport.

Five years before he and Lisa split up, he was experiencing a severe stroke, which may have contributed to his current peaceful life.

He most recently made news in August 2020.

He was inducted into the National Quarterback Hall of Fame by the National Quarterback Club, joining other notables including Doug Williams, Kurt Warner, and James Harris.

The football legend’s professional years must be remembered, even though it may not be the maternal bond he requires.
