Chen and Straschnov fell in love and started dating
They agreed, however, to keep their friendship private and away from the media and public eye.
After years of dating, they decided to make things official.
On May 18, 2019, the two exchanged their vows as they walked down the aisle.
Their wedding was solely attended by family and friends and took place in Paris.
On May 21, Chen took to her Instagram account to announce her wedding and present her boyfriend to the world.

In the image, Chen’s and Tony Leung’s characters (who play husband and wife in the film) were looking intensely into one other’s eyes.
And it appears that Chen’s real-life husband, Straschnov, was envious after viewing it, as he captioned the photo, “If only my wife could look at me like this…”
The Chinese American actress replied to her husband’s jealous message and said, “You know you’re doing a good job when your hubby gets envious.”
The sentence was followed by the emoji Face with tears of pleasure.
Based on those, it is apparent that the husband and wife team has formed a strong bond and knows how to have fun.
Fala Chen and Straschnov Have a Baby
Fala Chen’s marriage was enhanced further when they welcomed a baby into their household.
Chen announced through Instagram on February 14, 2021, that she and Straschnov had given birth to a daughter.
“The past 10 months have been a fantastic trip, filled with unknowns, amazement, love, and loads of joy.
“As new parents, our hearts are full, and we look forward to every day with this little princess,” Chen captioned the photo.
Since her daughter’s birth, the actress has only posted a few photos of her.
It appears that the new parents are keeping their daughter out of the spotlight, as Chen has yet to reveal her baby’s name or expose her face in photographs.
