Enes was selected third overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz.

In December 2011, he signed a rookie scale contract with the Utah Jazz.

On December 27, he made his rookie debut against the Los Angeles Lakers, recording the most 11 rebounds for a Utah Jazz player. In 66 games this season, Kanter averaged 4.6 points and 4.2 rebounds.
