Issues License Revocation

The California Athletic Commission revoked Edmond Tarverdyan’s corner license in January 2016 as a result of Tarverdyan lying on his application for his “seconds” license in Boston and concealing his criminal background.

Charges

He was accused of resisting arrest and two counts of criminal identity theft in 2010.

Tarverdyan was detained in December 2010 on two counts of felony identity theft and one case of misdemeanor resisting arrest, according to public records.

In the end, Tarverdyan pled not guilty to all three charges after the identity theft counts were downgraded to misdemeanors.

According to court records, the coach was found guilty in 2011 and given a one-day prison term with a one-day credit, three years of probation, 30 days of community service, and a 610 dollar fine on top of that.
