Drew Eubanks was born in Starkville, Mississippi, on February 1, 1997. He is Drew and Laura Eubanks’s youngest child.

His mother was a nurse and his father, Drew, was a mechanic. When Drew was only two years old, his family moved to Oregon.

Growing up, Drew spent all four years of his education at the Reynolds High School in Troutdale.

He spent his childhood years playing with his older sister, Kelli, in a very loving home setting.

She was teaching him softball when he was a little boy because she was already into sports at the time.

Later, Kelli represented Colorado State University in a softball competition.

Eubanks, though, also had a passion for other sports.

His original goal was to complete a degree in University Exploratory Studies, but he was unable to accomplish so because he left school after his third year.

High School Basketball Career

For the Reynolds School, Eubanks participated in high school basketball and baseball tournaments.

But as he became taller, he gave up baseball and as a senior, he solely played basketball.

With excellent rebounding totals each season, he eventually established himself as one of the top centers in his region.

He maintained his form in his senior year, averaging 18.0 points and 10.4 rebounds.

As a result, in 2015, he graduated from high school as Oregon’s top basketball player according to ESPN. Furthermore, the same sports agency rated him as a four-star prospect.

Career in College

Drew began his collegiate career at Oregon State University after graduating from high school.

He claimed he selected the Oregon State Beavers since they were from his native state and were located not far from his residence.

Eubanks had an average game as a rookie despite expecting a better season.

While participating in all 32 games of the season, he could only manage an average of 7.6 points and 4.6 rebounds.

However, there were several commendable aspects of his performance during that campaign.

He had the fourth-best field goal % in the Pac-12 and was the sixth-best freshman rebound scorer in the annals of his college.

His performance changed significantly after that season, and his scores significantly increased. He played for the Beavers for two more collegiate seasons, averaging about 14.0 points per game.

Professional Career

When he was actively participating in basketball in high school and college, Drew was consistently one of the most talked-about young players.

He was disappointed to learn that no NBA team made a bid for him, and he was left undrafted in the 2018 NBA draft.

Fortunately, the San Antonio Spurs saved him and signed him for the NBA Summer League in 2018.

On September 17, 2018, Drew agreed to a two-way contract with the Spurs.

A month later, he made his regular-season NBA debut against the Portland Trail Blazers, which they lost by the score of 108-121.

He remained with the Spurs for around two more seasons during which time the team gave him more opportunities to play.

However, he made no progress, therefore in 2022, they released him.

He played for his hometown team, the Portland Trail Blazers, for about 22 games after being released until the end of the 2021–2022 season.

Additionally, it significantly damaged the area close to Oregon City, where Eubanks was born. People in the state needed assistance since there were shortages of food and other necessities.

To aid the Oregon Food Bank in this scenario, he partnered with Portland Gear and started the Heart for Oregon initiative. He gave the cause roughly $5000.

A lot of people immediately joined the campaign after seeing their star player at work. They had swiftly amassed about $30,000.

Additionally, he paid for the printing of the “Heart for Oregon” t-shirts and pushed his followers to purchase them in order to donate the money raised to the Oregon Food Bank and relief organizations.
