Who is Drew Eubanks?
Drew Eubanks is a Young American basketball player. Drew Eubanks competes for the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA. Although he prefers to play as a power forward, he can also play center.
The Oregon resident’s first experience with failure came when he was passed over for the NBA draft in 2018.
He did, however, join the San Antonio Spurs when he returned to the league.
Early Life, Family, and Education
Drew Eubanks was born in Starkville, Mississippi, on February 1, 1997. He is Drew and Laura Eubanks’s youngest child.
His mother was a nurse and his father, Drew, was a mechanic. When Drew was only two years old, his family moved to Oregon.
Growing up, Drew spent all four years of his education at the Reynolds High School in Troutdale.
He spent his childhood years playing with his older sister, Kelli, in a very loving home setting.
She was teaching him softball when he was a little boy because she was already into sports at the time.
Later, Kelli represented Colorado State University in a softball competition.
Eubanks, though, also had a passion for other sports.
He also played basketball and groundball, but baseball was his absolute love.
Aside from being admitted to the NBA, his biggest accomplishment so far has been winning the baseball Mt. Hood Conference championship.
His life changed when the high school basketball coaches invited his parents and informed them that he had a physique suitable for a basketball player.
Fortunately, Drew made the decision to play basketball exclusively and joined his high school team.
Finally realizing that this was likely what their kid was created out for, his parents gave him strong support and cheered him up by going to see him play.
His original goal was to complete a degree in University Exploratory Studies, but he was unable to accomplish so because he left school after his third year.
Net Worth & Earnings
Drew Eubanks is said to have a net worth of about $1.5 million.
Since he has no other businesses and only began playing in 2018, the player’s primary source of income is from professional league matches.
He was hired by the San Antonio Spurs and received about $77 thousand for his first season after failing to be picked.
They kept him for a second season, during which he played for the Austin Spurs, a D-League affiliate team, and earned roughly $80,000.
The Spurs intended to test his abilities for a longer period of time, so he extended his contract in 2020, signing a new three-year agreement worth $5.2 million.
However, in the middle of the 2021–2022 season, the Spurs traded him to the Toronto Raptors.
The season in which the Spurs paid him about $1.65 million was the one from which he earned the most money, though. From his NBA career, the athlete has already earned about $2 million.
With a yearly salary of roughly $477k, he was the 19th highest-paid athlete on the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2021–22 season.

High School Basketball Career
For the Reynolds School, Eubanks participated in high school basketball and baseball tournaments.
But as he became taller, he gave up baseball and as a senior, he solely played basketball.
With excellent rebounding totals each season, he eventually established himself as one of the top centers in his region.
He maintained his form in his senior year, averaging 18.0 points and 10.4 rebounds.
As a result, in 2015, he graduated from high school as Oregon’s top basketball player according to ESPN. Furthermore, the same sports agency rated him as a four-star prospect.
Udonis Haslem, an American power forward who has won three NBA championships, is still competing at the age of forty.
Career in College
Drew began his collegiate career at Oregon State University after graduating from high school.
He claimed he selected the Oregon State Beavers since they were from his native state and were located not far from his residence.
Eubanks had an average game as a rookie despite expecting a better season.
While participating in all 32 games of the season, he could only manage an average of 7.6 points and 4.6 rebounds.
However, there were several commendable aspects of his performance during that campaign.
He had the fourth-best field goal % in the Pac-12 and was the sixth-best freshman rebound scorer in the annals of his college.
His performance changed significantly after that season, and his scores significantly increased. He played for the Beavers for two more collegiate seasons, averaging about 14.0 points per game.
Professional Career
When he was actively participating in basketball in high school and college, Drew was consistently one of the most talked-about young players.
He was disappointed to learn that no NBA team made a bid for him, and he was left undrafted in the 2018 NBA draft.
Fortunately, the San Antonio Spurs saved him and signed him for the NBA Summer League in 2018.
On September 17, 2018, Drew agreed to a two-way contract with the Spurs.
A month later, he made his regular-season NBA debut against the Portland Trail Blazers, which they lost by the score of 108-121.
He remained with the Spurs for around two more seasons during which time the team gave him more opportunities to play.
However, he made no progress, therefore in 2022, they released him.
He played for his hometown team, the Portland Trail Blazers, for about 22 games after being released until the end of the 2021–2022 season.
Unexpectedly, his game-by-game average of 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds for the Blazers was his best to date.
He no longer has a short-term deal with them, therefore his future in the following season is still up in the air.
Oregon Heart Campaign
One of the largest wildfires ever recorded occurred in Oregon state in October 2020, forcing many people to leave their homes.
Nearly 200,000 acres of land were destroyed, and homes were also burned.
Additionally, it significantly damaged the area close to Oregon City, where Eubanks was born. People in the state needed assistance since there were shortages of food and other necessities.
To aid the Oregon Food Bank in this scenario, he partnered with Portland Gear and started the Heart for Oregon initiative. He gave the cause roughly $5000.
A lot of people immediately joined the campaign after seeing their star player at work. They had swiftly amassed about $30,000.
Additionally, he paid for the printing of the “Heart for Oregon” t-shirts and pushed his followers to purchase them in order to donate the money raised to the Oregon Food Bank and relief organizations.
It was his first time doing such service, and he felt very content doing it. He offered his sympathies to the distressed families during that trying period.
Relationship Status
Drew Eubanks and Hailey Thomas, his longtime partner, are joyfully engaged.
In June 2020, Drew posted a picture of Hailey’s finger with a ring on it on Instagram as part of his engagement announcement.
She was referred to by him among his followers as “Mrs. Eubanks.”
Hailey is an Oregon citizen like Eubanks himself, and they have known each other since their undergraduate days.
She, in contrast to him, went to Portland State University and earned a psychology degree and an interdisciplinary studies degree in 2020.
Hailey shows an image of a supportive fiancee and compassionate person in public as she encourages Drew by showing up consistently in his league matches.
Similar to this, she actively took part with him in relief efforts during the 2020 Oregon wildfire.
The majority of their time is now spent together, perhaps since the wedding is getting closer.
According to sources, if everything goes according to plan, they plan to get married this summer.
