The education and work of Dr. Sandra Lee were discussed

Sandra Siew Pin Lee was born on December 20, 1970. Her Chinese parents raised her in Queens, New York.

Although little is known about her Chinese-Malaysian mother, her father is a retired dermatologist.

So it’s clear where she got her motivation to become a dermatologist.

She attended UCLA after graduating from high school and worked part-time as a medical assistant in Downtown Los Angeles.

After graduating from UCLA, she enrolled in medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine, where she graduated in 1998.

She then completed her dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University after interning at Allegheny General Hospital.

Dr. Lee then relocated to San Diego for a period of time to further her experience and knowledge in laser, dermatological, and cosmetic surgery.

Finally, she relocated to Upland, California, and began working for Skin Physicians & Surgeons.

She eventually became a board-certified dermatologist and a member of several academies in her field, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

The famous dermatologist launched her solution-driven skincare line, SLMD Skincare Products, in 2017.

Finally, in 2018, TLC approached her about hosting the TV show Dr. Pimple Popper, to which she agreed, and the show premiered the following year.

Dr. Sandra Lee’s net worth and earnings

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Dr. Lee has a healthy net worth of $5 million.

She has made a fortune by being involved in a variety of activities.

According to the social blade, she earns between $6,300 and $100,400 per month, or $75,300 and $1.2 million per year, from her Dr. Sandra Lee (aka Dr. Pimple Popper) YouTube channel.

Similarly, her skincare line and merchandise have contributed significantly to her earnings.

Her main source of income, however, is her work as a dermatologist, skin cancer, and cosmetic surgeon, as well as her appearance on the TLC show Dr. Pimple Popper.

According to salary.com, the annual salary of a dermatologist in the United States ranges from $264,785 to $478,18, with the average annual salary being $362,600.

So it’s safe to say she makes a good living as a dermatologist.

Furthermore, The Sun reported that Dr. Lee charges a consultation fee of $120 per visit.

Similarly, a benign extraction costs between $500 and $600 and is not covered by medical insurance.

The costs would be reduced if her patients agreed to be filmed while Dr. Lee performs her work, either by the crew of TLC’s Dr. Pimple Popper or by Dr. Lee herself (for her YouTube channel).

If a TLC crew films her patient, the production company will pay for the patient’s treatment as well as Dr. Lee’s medical and appearance fees.

And if Dr. Lee films the patient for her YouTube channel, she will not charge a fee and will keep the patients’ identities private.

In terms of how much Dr. Lee earns from her TLC show, she has previously stated that she does not make any money.

She revealed in 2018 to Men’s Health that she was “not getting paid anything for the show, really.”

Dr. Lee felt “so fortunate to have this — that this has been offered to me — and I’m so fortunate that they’re making me look good” despite the low pay.

But, now that the TLC show has grown in popularity and gained more viewers since its debut, Dr. Lee must have been compensated handsomely for her appearance in each episode.

Unfortunately, even if this is happening, no amount has been disclosed to date.
