Dolly’s debut novel, Ghosts, will be published by Fig Tree in October 2020. Nina, a 32-year-old food writer, meets someone through a dating app while her father begins to show signs of dementia.

It was announced in Dolly that Dolly had sold the film rights to Ghosts.

Everything I Know About Love, her first book, was published in February 2018.

According to the BBC, the book “offers readers a frank and deeply personal account of friendships, relationships, and growing up as a millennial.”

This memoir was nominated for a National Book Award in the Autobiography category in 2018. It was also nominated for the 2018 Waterstones Book of the Year award.

Dolly was working on a TV adaptation of Everything I Know About Love in October 2020.

The BBC and Working Title will produce the film, which will be directed by China Moo-Young and written by Dolly. The cast and screening date had not been announced as of May 2021.
