He tossed his 108th touchdown pass in the first game, setting a team record in less than four years as a starter.

Unfortunately, a separated shoulder forced him to miss seven games.
Later, Dave’s great effort propelled the Seahawks to their first AFC West Division title.

After Steve Largent announced his retirement that season, he was forced to rely on John L. Williams.
