Now, Danielle took to Instagram to offer an important message regarding mental health and counseling.

Alongside black and white photographs of herself, the Bachelor Nation star said,

“I just accomplished a HUGE personal milestone.

A little over a year ago, I decided to start committing to myself.

I have been visiting my therapist every 2 weeks for the last year. **Internal monologue in Shania Twain** Let’s go Girl!”

She said, “I was pleased, had a wonderful job, great podcast but things still felt kind of stuck.

I felt like there could be more and desired more.

I wanted to be someone I wanted to meet in a partner and I

was finally in a situation where I could afford therapy (a major [crap] privilege).”

Danielle discussed why she opted to go to therapy at the time and how it helped her.

She remarked, “I hadn’t dated anyone seriously and knew I still had triggers surrounding relationships and love.

I had reached the stage though where I was perfectly happy alone and at peace with where I was in life.

But, I also understood the prospect of somebody potentially breaking that peace scared the crap out of me.

I am so appreciative for the relationship I have been able to develop with myself and my therapist.”

Danielle noted that she has some excellent sessions with her therapist

when she’s feeling okay and some extremely challenging ones when she’s getting through a rougher phase.

She explained what she hopes others get from her speaking out, adding,

“If my article achieves anything, please let it be to help you get proactive for yourself.

The time I have committed to healing and processing has helped me so much

and I hope it makes me a better future partner, but whatever, I am so darn proud of myself and still have a long way to go.”

The Bachelor Nation star further noted that counseling is expensive,

and she realizes it’s a privilege to be able to afford it,

so she gave some sites for more budget therapy options.

She continued, “Therapy shouldn’t be a luxury and it is for the majority of Americans.

This isn’t an ad but if you are searching for a place to start talking to someone,

I know Better Help and Talk Space offer highly safe and convenient online platforms with financial aid.

Check with your insurance also and check if any therapists or practices are covered in your area.

If no one has informed you, I think you matter, and your mental health matters.”

We know that Danielle speaking up and being so vulnerable will assist so many people going through something similar.
