Dan Senor is a writer, columnist, and political adviser of American and Canadian origin. Dan Senor is currently a regular news commentator and contributor to The Wall Street Journal. Dan is also the co-author of a 2009 book titled Start-up Nation: The Story of Israel’s Economic Miracle.

Early Life and Childhood

Dan Senor was born on November 6, 1971, in Utica, New York, United States of America. Dan is fifty years old.

He was born in Utica to parents but raised in Toronto, Ontario with his three older siblings. Dan’s father, Jim, worked for Israel Bonds, and his mother, Helen, was born in Koice but now resides in Slovakia.

During the Holocaust, Helen and her mother hid there from the Nazis. His maternal grandfather was executed at Auschwitz. Dan’s mother and grandmother fled to Paris after the war, then to Montreal via New York.

Senor has been a podcaster for 13 years. He currently hosts the podcast Call Me Back: What History Can Teach Us About the Current Decade. Dan began in this position in 2020.

He has been the Chief Public Affairs Officer at Elliott Investment Management L.P. since 2010. The company was established in 1977. Elliott Investment, along with its affiliates, is one of the oldest fund managers of its kind under continuous management.

As of January 1, 2021, its assets were estimated to be $41.8 billion. The company has a total of 468 employees.
