On a Saturday night back then, a guy took her out to Taco Bell.
She noticed another guy sitting alone, eating a Mexican pizza.
It had to have been Heath. “Wow, that dude must be really lonely,” she thought to herself, “because what teenager eats alone on a Saturday night?”
She met Heath on a blind date a few months later, and the rest is history. After three years of dating, the couple married.
The couple has been together for 25 years and married for 22 years as of 2022.
Colleen Hoover wrote a list of her husband’s qualities that made him her ideal man for their 14th wedding anniversary.
“It also got me thinking about all the men I write about in my books, and how none of them are bad-boy alpha males,” she wrote on her blog. They’re all good guys, and I believe I write about them because I’m married to one of them.”

The author also listed some of Heath’s qualities as a perfect father, such as playing with his children, assisting them with their homework, and “hugging and kissing his boys every single day and telling them he loves them.”
Similarly, Colleen claims that Heath is completely supportive of her career.
“He would understand that writing books are a really strange job and that sometimes I’m not all here mentally, even when I’m staring at him and nodding my head,” she wrote. And he would get it.”
Colleen Hoover made 22 points about her husband, the last of which praised Heath for never complaining, being selfless, and being good.
She concluded her blog by proclaiming Heath to be the best fictional book boyfriend.
Know About:
“Sounds like the best fictional book boyfriend ever, doesn’t it?” she wrote. It isn’t. It’s my life, and he’s my husband, and I wonder every day what I did right in life to get the best one.”

The couple is still in love as they were in 1996 and are enjoying their married life in Texas with their three children, Cale, Beckham, and Levi.
