Who exactly is Owenn?

Owenn, real name Christian Owens, is a rising R&B artist as well as a talented dancer and choreographer.

He has won the hearts of the audience with his rich vocals and heartfelt lyrics.

He released his debut single, ‘Baby Girl,’ on his self-titled YouTube channel in March 2021, where he has also uploaded a couple more songs.

He is currently planning to release his debut EP in 2023.

To begin, Owenn was a dancer on two of Swift’s tours: the 1989 Tour and the Reputation Tour.

In addition, he was the main dancer for Swift’s 1989 stadium tour, Bad Blood.

As their professional friendship grew, Swift asked Owenn to be her co-star and love interest in her ‘Lover’ music video.

And, with over 200 million views on the music video, it brought more attention to Owenn.

Later, Swift pulled some strings to get Owenn his first record deal. “We had a whole bunch of label meetings,” he said candidly during his Instagram live session.

And, for everything Swift has done for him, Owenn has always expressed his gratitude in some way.

When Swift announced Owenn as one of her opening acts, he said in a video on Instagram, “I’m so excited. It’s been a wild ride, from dancing for her in 1989 to dancing for her in Reputation to starring as her love interest in Lover.”

“And I just want to personally thank her because it’s honestly 100% up to her, and I always say she can choose anyone, and she chose me, and I’m very grateful for that,” he continued, before thanking the Swifties for their love and support.
